One of the IBank Small Business Finance Center’s loan guarantee programs is designed for Disaster Relief specifically and is currently available to small businesses needing assistance to overcome economic injury caused by COVID-19

Alameda County Community Food Bank

If you are in need of food, please call the  Emergency Food Helpline 1-510-635-3663 As an essential business, they will remain open during this time. Anyone in need of food is allowed to access food distributions, groceries, etc. during the shelter in place.

They not only provide listings of pantries, but also information on: food closets, food banks, soup kitchens, congregate meal locations, food boxes, vouchers, etc.

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

 HUD was ordered to suspend evictions and foreclosures for the next 60 days. The moratorium only applies to homeowners with mortgages insured by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), a part of HUD that insures home loans made by FHA-approved lenders. The moratorium only covers FHA mortgages for single family homes. The suspension not only suspends new foreclosure actions but also suspends all foreclosure actions currently in process

The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), which oversees Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan banks, is providing payment forbearance to borrowers impacted by the coronavirus for up to 12 months due to hardship.

 California Telephone Access Program (CTAP) provides free specialized phones and accessories for your mobile phone to all qualified Californians. These devices make it easier to hear, dial, and call. A Program of the California Public Utilities Commission. 

COVID-19 Screening

The COVID-19 Testing Center, at Hayward Fire Station #7, 28270 Huntwood Avenue., has been established to take pressure off hospital emergency rooms, provide quicker answers for recently exposed first responders and health care workers, and to enhance the region’s capacity to suppress new transmissions through isolation after testing.
