Join Us For Science Week!

Science Week is here! Get ready for an out-of-this-world adventure filled with hands-on learning about the wonders of space. Students will be immersed in the world of rovers and robots through activities, team challenges and interactive learning experiences.

Working in teams at the David E. Glover Emerging Technology Center (6948 Foothill Blvd.), students bring their creations to life with step-by-step guidance from our expert instructors. Like real space scientists, students experience the interactive process of designing, building and testing their robots. Final projects will be exhibited publicly at Chabot Space & Science Center, inspiring hundreds of other visitors and field trip students. This adventure goes beyond promoting a love for space and technology! The collaborative team learning process fosters key skills in creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving.

Students learn how to work together and communicate effectively at every stage of building their Mars rover. During their time at the Center, students receive a complimentary morning snack, full lunch and final snack in the afternoon. Every participant will also receive a Chabot Space & Science Center membership, providing unlimited free visits to the museum! This free program is generously supported by OCCUR, the David E. Glover Emerging Technology Center, and the Chabot Space & Science Center.
