COVID-19 Community Give-Away:

As the pandemic disproportionately affected the East Oakland community, OCCUR partnered with World Central Kitchen, EastLearnPlay, and Peralta Colleges Foundation to provide free hot meals and fresh produce boxes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00pm till supplies last.

Community Youth Game Nights:

Community Youth Game Nights are a violence prevention initiative for the youth of East Oakland. This is a safe outdoor video game experience for youth. The community game nights will occur every Friday starting from Aug 14th from 6PM-10PM in the David E. Glover Technology Center Parking Lot.

Financial Literacy Series:

OCCUR provides virtual series of seminars led by banking and finance experts that invaluable education and motivation for participants interested in learning how to stabilize and/or improve their financial circumstances. Especially during the current pandemic, financial challenges have been a source of anxiety for many people.

A Model Built on Faith Capacity Building Program:

OCCUR and The San Francisco Foundation *FAITHS  Program is an annual workshop series designed to support faith-based and other non-profit leaders in creating communities of opportunity throughout the Bay Area. Our trainings are FREE and equip participants with the skills they need to develop stable organizations, design impactful programs and build passionate teams.  Sessions are presented in workshop settings and small group intensives. Individual coaching sessions are also available.
